Career coaching is an interactive process during which your coach facilitates and guides you through a process of career discovery and action planning in a series of 30 minute – 1 hour sessions by  phone or in person. 

Coaching is customized to meet your individual goals and situation.

The International Coach Federation defines coaching as:

Once you are clear about your ideal career, we then work together to build a Strategic Job Search Marketing Plan to put your career into motion.  This may include:

•  Targeting – help clearly articulating what you are specifically seeking in a position and company including a list of companies for which you would like to work.  We identify the best ways to target these companies/positions.

• Packaging - including sharing what you have to offer - your unique value proposition - through your resume, cover letter and interviewing strategies and coaching.

• Networking, Networking, Networking – we work together to put together a list of your contacts (you have more than you think!) and people you should know.  We create ways to build these relationships and expand your network.  We increase your comfort level with networking.  We strategize ways to access the hidden job market. 

• Implementing – we support you as you implement your strategic job search marketing plan by providing support and encouragement, coaching on each phase of the job search process (applying, interviewing, follow-up, salary negotiations) and challenging you to take the necessary steps to put your career into motion and achieve your career goal!
